An eighteenth-century-style Venetian mirror frame in lacquered and parcel-gilt wood. The arched frame is carved with pierced rocaille, scrolling acanthus and flower heads, rising to an elaborate cresting with a shaped cartouche, and the lower corners terminate in scrolled feet. Offered as found: the frame is without its plate and shows losses, and would reward restoration or use as a decorative frame in its own right.

Provenance: San Luca Casa d'Aste, lot 558, May 2025; acquired by Urnica.
Condition: Mirror plate lacking; losses and old repairs to the carving and gilding; some shortcomings to the lacquer. Sold as found.

Returns

Buyers in the European Union may return a piece within fourteen days of delivery without giving a reason, in the condition in which it was received; the direct cost of the return journey is borne by the buyer. We would rather you asked every question first — a piece that arrives exactly as described rarely goes back.
