A pair of Italian wall-mounted demi-lune consoles, the serpentine tops painted in imitation of green-veined marble with a gilt edge, each supported on a single boldly carved and gilded acanthus bracket that curls to a scrolled toe. Their compact scale makes them ideal for a narrow passage, either side of a bed, or beneath a pair of sconces. Sold as found, with the small defects one expects of painted Italian furniture of this type.

Provenance: San Luca Casa d'Aste, lot 1332, May 2025; acquired by Urnica.
Condition: Some losses and wear to the lacquer and gilding; painted tops with minor rubbing. Structurally sound.

Antiques are not parcels. Small pieces that fit a box are sent by courier at a calculated rate; anything that needs a crate or two people is quoted individually, usually within a day. Collection from the house in Meda is always welcome, and we can hold a piece for you until you are ready.

Returns

Buyers in the European Union may return a piece within fourteen days of delivery without giving a reason, in the condition in which it was received; the direct cost of the return journey is borne by the buyer. We would rather you asked every question first — a piece that arrives exactly as described rarely goes back.
