A pair of Italian single beds lacquered in ivory, in the Louis XVI manner. Each tall headboard is framed by fluted pilasters beneath a moderated cornice and holds an arched upholstered panel, the frames carved throughout with foliate and floral motifs and the footboards centred by a ribbon-tied love knot. Made by Bussandri, whose mark they bear. Handsome and practical beds for a guest room, twin room or a child's bedroom of some ambition. Offered as found with minor defects.

Provenance: San Luca Casa d'Aste, lot 1221, May 2025; acquired by Urnica.
Condition: Some chips and wear to the lacquer; upholstered panels would benefit from recovering. Bussandri mark present.

Returns

Buyers in the European Union may return a piece within fourteen days of delivery without giving a reason, in the condition in which it was received; the direct cost of the return journey is borne by the buyer.
