A pair of carved giltwood wall mirrors in the George III 'Chippendale' taste, England, twentieth century. Each rectangular plate is framed by pierced C-scrolls and foliage, surmounted by a ho-ho bird cresting and finished with a scrolled apron below. A well-proportioned pair for either side of a chimney breast, or to hang above a pair of console tables. These are not eighteenth-century mirrors: they are twentieth-century work in that manner, and priced as such.

Provenance: A private collection, Lancashire; Dreweatts, lot 1038, April 2025; acquired by Urnica.
Condition: Gilding bright and complete; plates clear; no losses noted.

Shipping and collection

Returns

Buyers in the European Union may return a piece within fourteen days of delivery without giving a reason, in the condition in which it was received; the direct cost of the return journey is borne by the buyer.
