A striking side cabinet in the Louis XVI taste, decorated overall in imitation of malachite with panels of faux lapis lazuli, and mounted with ormolu. The breakfront top sits above a frieze applied with gilt foliate mounts; the central panelled door is centred by a ribbon-tied trophy hung with laurel swags, flanked by conforming panels. It stands on turned, tapering legs with gilt collars. A vivid piece for a hall, dining room or dressing room.
