An Italian carved giltwood console of generous proportions in the Louis XV manner. The rectangular top is painted in imitation of grey-green marble, above a pierced and carved apron of foliate scrolls centred by a mask. Square tapering legs with carved acanthus capitals descend to scrolled feet. Closely related to the companion console in the house, the two may be placed together as a near pair in a large hall or dining room.

Provenance: San Luca Casa d'Aste, lot 1264, May 2025; acquired by Urnica.
Condition: Gilding with age patina and minor rubbing; painted top with light wear.
