A carved giltwood wall mirror in the George II manner. The rectangular plate is bordered by marginal side plates and enclosed by a frame carved with C-scrolls, acanthus and flower heads, rising to a pierced rocaille cresting and terminating in a shaped apron with a central cartouche. Of recent manufacture and in excellent order, it offers the look of an eighteenth-century mirror at a fraction of the cost.

Condition: Gilding bright and complete; plates clear.
