A circular centre table or gueridon in the French Empire taste. The faux malachite top is bordered by a pierced gilt-metal gallery of scrolling foliage, supported on four gilt caryatid figures rising from an ebonised and malachite-effect concave platform base centred by a gilt urn, on squat bun feet. The vivid green ground against black and gold makes it a striking focal point for a hall or reception room.
